Born this day in 1967, Jón Gnarr of Kristinsson Reykjavík, Iceland, age 50, Icelandic actor, comedian, mayor of Reykjavík.

     
Died this day, Alan Hale, Jr was an American film and television actor, best known for his role as Skipper (Jonas Grumby) on TV’s Gilligan's Island. Hale was the lookalike son of popular supporting film actor Alan Hale, Sr. Born 03/08/1918 , he died from cancer of the thymus at age 71.
 
Died this day in 2005, Cyril Fletcher, born Cyril Trevellian Fletcher, was on radio’s Dreaming Of Thee In The 30's, made films in the 40's, was seen on British quiz shows in the 70's and 80's, including What's My Line. Born 06/25/1913, he died in his sleep at age 91.  

 
Died this day in 1983, Dick Emery, born Richard Gilbert Emery, immensely popular British TV comedian of the 1970s. Most famous for The Dick Emery Show" and catchphrase "Ooh, you are awful… but I like you"! Born 02/19/1915, he died at age 67.
 

 
Died this day in 1998, Frank Muir, British comedian. Born 02/05/1920, he died at age 77.
