"I saw him at the Lexington Opera House in 1996. It was really cool; not only was it George Carlin, but he was working on bits, and would stop talking and say, "Okay, that's as far as I've gotten with that piece." And then move on to something else. No one minded at all, because, well it was George Carlin and for a little quick moment, we were all part of his creative process. As a child, I wanted to be a stand-up comedienne. Mr. Carlin was one of the reasons why. Joan Rivers is why I changed my mind." Yahoo group member comment.
